Automation and Stress Analysis Engineer

Dinvent SAS

Apr 2025 — Present

Verification and analysis of mechanical components and structures against international codes. Stress analysis and finite-element modeling of piping systems (CAESAR II) and of structures and supports (ANSYS), plus vibration analysis, seismic checks, automation of code-calculation workflows, and control & instrumentation systems.

  • Mechanical verification with CAESAR II and ANSYS under project-specific international codes.
  • Vibration analysis, seismic verification, and in-house tools to automate and standardize normative calculations.

Highlighted work

RA-10 reactor
Ezeiza, Argentina

Finite-element modeling and stress analysis of piping systems, with structural validation of supports in CAESAR II. Assessed sections of the plant that had already been built, proposed adaptations, and contributed to pre-construction design decisions to reduce downstream rework and technical risk.

Gates for desalination and flood control
Australia / New Zealand

Structural verification of gates for major hydraulic works in ANSYS under AS/NZS codes. Successful delivery of the initial analysis helped secure follow-on projects with a major gate design and installation client.

Engineering automation
Internal tooling

Developed an application to calculate wind and seismic loads from the AS/NZS 1170 series and automate component checks from ANSYS outputs under AISC 370 and KTA requirements. Also built ANSYS Mechanical automations with Mechanical Scripting, ACT, and DPF to streamline repetitive team tasks, along with tools that simplified the preparation of project deliverables.

Control & instrumentation

End-to-end automation of a system with electric actuation, electronic control, and an interface for operation and inspection. The solution enabled the client to run tests lasting up to 1,000 hours while maintaining traceable pressure and temperature records for product certification under IRAM standards.

R&D Engineer Intern

ANSYS, Inc

Jul 2024 — Jan 2025

Python ACT extension development and simulation workflow automation within Ansys Mechanical.

  • Developed a Python ACT extension to integrate specialized response-spectrum analyses in Ansys Mechanical.
  • Optimized simulation workflows by automating MAPDL data extraction and processing through internal APIs.
